SATAPON CHARITIES is a non-profit corporation started by father Simon Nwachukwu, because his mother, Theresa Nwachukwu died on January 20, 1970, without a good medical treatment in a hospital. To prevent such sad incidents from happening to other families, Satapon Charities provides free medical care to poor widows, widowers, orphans, children, homeless, less-privileged and indigent students of UMUOKAZI in Amuzi, Ahiazu, Nigeria.
*Mission: To improve the Health and Education of impoverished people through Health care and educational formation.
*Vision: To build a Health Clinic and School for the provision of health care needs of patients and education of indigent students.
*Values: Centered on Divine Love, Compassion and Care for suffering humanity.

Satapon Charities’ Achievements: 2020 till date, five indigent students are currently under Satapon Charities’ scholarship. One can sponsor a student with $650.00 per year.
Satapon Charities did four medical missions in Umuokazi of Amuzi, Ahiazu, Nigeria. March 15, 2019, the first free medical mission of Satapon Charities attracted 500
patients, who received free medical consultation, treatment and drugs from doctors, pharmacists and nurses. The patients felt very happy and grateful to the donors.
January 10, 2020, the second medical mission done by Satapon Charities gathered 1,000 patients for medical consultation, treatment and drugs. Lack of medical insurance makes it difficult for many patients to consult a doctor in a year. Some patients were suffering from malaria, typhoid, polio, malnutrition, blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, cough, ulcer, appendix, hernia cataract and many other diseases. We need a Health clinic for patients’ regular medical consultation, treatment and drugs.
April 4, 2022, the third free medical mission of Satapon Charities brought in 1,200 patients, for medical consultation, treatment and three months’ drugs. In Addition, five (5) surgical cases of the appendix, hernia, prostate, neck swelling, and cataract were operated and Satapon Charities paid the bills. The parents of a 3-year-old boy thanked the surgeon, father Simon, and USA for the removal of a ruptured appendix from their son.
December 2, 2022, the fourth medical mission assembled 1,500 patients for free doctor’s consultation, treatment and drugs. During that mission, nurses discovered three (3) patients with very high blood pressures of 180/140, 160/120 and 140/100 and their lives were saved by the doctors, who placed them on blood pressure medications. Lack of medical care, makes some people to drop dead. Further, a poor widow brought in her daughter suffering from fibroids. She was successfully operated and her hospital bill paid. A patient suffering from Cataracts was operated by Satapon Charities. In 2022, Fr Simon gave 35 widows bags of rice, food, drinks, stipends and rosaries for Christmas.
