SATAPON CHARITIES

Medical Mission Held By Satapon Charities Medical Mission

The medical mission was held on 27th December 2025 and commenced at 9:10 a.m. with an opening prayer led by Nurse Florence Anyanwu. She also delivered a health talk focusing on COVID-19 and hypertension, covering their causes, prevention, and treatment.

Following this, the nursing team began preliminary assessments, including the measurement of vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse, as well as fasting blood sugar (FBS) and random blood sugar (RBS) tests.

Patients were then attended to by the doctors in an orderly and structured manner. After each consultation, prescriptions were issued and subsequently dispensed by the pharmacist.

In total, 114 people were seen and treated for various health conditions. Among them, 40 patients were identified as hypertensive and were given appropriate anti-hypertensive medications, in addition to malaria treatment where necessary. Eight patients were diagnosed with diabetes and received anti-diabetic medications.

Malaria was the most common condition treated, with 100 individuals receiving care. Other cases managed during the mission included upper respiratory tract infections, peptic ulcer disease, and eye-related conditions, for which appropriate medications were provided.

A total of 20 children were treated, primarily for malaria and worm infestations.

The medical mission concluded at 3:30 p.m., after which refreshments were provided for the doctors, pharmacist, and nursing team in appreciation of their service.
